Primrose Poodles

When purchasing a new toy poodle puppy make sure you are buying from a reputable breeder of poodles. Be Leary of people that breed multiple breeds.

  • I have been breeding toy poodles for 45 years.

Choosing a breeder –  Do some research. Do they show any of their dogs ? How long have they been breeding poodles ? Any health concerns or guarantee on the puppy.

  • I have been a member of Western Reserve Poodle Club  for 40 years. It’s a great club to be a member of if interested in breeding poodles.

Be open minded about sex and color. Personally and temperament are more important. Both males and females make great companions.

Some points to consider in selecting a breeder

Are the puppies well socialized and not afraid of visitors and noises? You want a puppy who is outgoing and friendly. Don’t pick the one in the corner that won’t come to you. Temperament issues or sick.  Are the puppy pens clean with food water and toys to play with.

  • My poodles have lots of interaction with people and other pets.

  • I have been a professional groomer for 48 years. So my dogs are well groomed and kept very clean.

  • I keep my poodles in a free indoor room not caged with a fenced in yard to play in weather permitting.

  • My puppies are trained to cage at night for sleeping with a nighttime cookie as their bedtime treat.

  • The puppies stay with mom until 6/7 weeks or until she doesn’t want them sleeping with her anymore.
